Insurance Specialty Group, LLC, a subsidiary of NFP, is seeking an Analyst for P&C Operations.
Candidate is required to have previous insurance or reinsurance experience
The Reporting Analyst is responsible for preparing, analyzing, and submitting carrier & management reports in a timely manner across multiple Totalis programs. This work requires a strong focus on maintaining accuracy, consistency, and compliance with reporting procedures, along with understanding and documenting how key data attributes are housed within multiple disparate systems. Reporting will be impacted by This individual will ensure adherence to applicable market, internal, and industry standards while proactively identifying opportunities for process improvements and enhancing data accuracy. The analyst needs a strong understanding of insurance transactions and the ability to identify gaps and errors in data collection and data presentation. The analyst will collaborate with both internal and external partners, participating in the implementation of applications and systems that enhance data management.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
· Prepare, analyze, and distribute recurring and ad hoc reports, ensuring data accuracy and timely submission.
· Monitor and verify the accuracy of data used in reports, identifying discrepancies and resolving data quality issues directly with the business units.
· Work with multiple business units to document and understand data capture against current and future business needs. Develop and execute enhancements to data capture to support future business needs.
· Ensure compliance with market, internal, and industry standards, along with acting as a liaison between market reporting and business units regarding data and reporting questions.
· Work with internal & external resources to coordinate the development of dashboards and visualizations to present key metrics and trends to stakeholders.
· Assist with the automation of reporting processes and tools to reduce manual work and improve timeliness.
· Handle manual data entry for any areas where system data capture does not support automated report
· Other duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND/OR ABILITIES:
· Proven experience as a Data Management, Data Analyst, Reporting Specialist, or similar role.
· Strong proficiency in Excel and similar tools for manual reporting.
· Experience with SQL is a plus.
· Excellent attention to detail, especially when handling data manually.
· Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work with datasets.
· Strong ability to self-manage priorities and daily activity.
· Good communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to explain data findings to non-technical audiences.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
· 3+ years of relevant insurance or reinsurance experience
· Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Risk Management / Insurance, or other related fields
