Grace College invites applications and nominations for the full-time position of Assistant/Associate Professor of Counseling for our CACREP-accredited Clinical Mental Health Counseling program. Responsibilities include teaching, advising, department and college service, scholarly activity, and professional development.
The Graduate Department is housed within the School of Behavioral Sciences, which includes both undergraduate and graduate programs. The department’s purpose is “equipping graduate students to be grounded in scripture, professionally competent, and actively engaged in personal growth as they work in the church and mental health agencies.” This department seeks a counseling faculty member who holds views comparable to those of the institution and who will complement the contributions of the department’s existing faculty.

Qualifications:
This position offers a challenging opportunity to a faculty member with teaching and clinical experience in the counseling profession. The successful candidate will have a minimum of:
- Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision by the date of hire.
- A license as a mental health counselor (or must be licensed within six months of hire).
- Strong commitment to a biblical foundation while teaching counseling principles in the classroom.
- Commitment to the mission and values of an evangelical Christian institution
- Strong Professional Counselor identity
- An appreciation for a rigorous academic program that encourages professional and spiritual growth among students.
- A minimum of three years of counseling experience.
- Evidence of scholarly potential.
Preferred
- Three years of successful faculty teaching experience in higher education
- Online teaching experience
- Published research
