About the Role:

The Moody's Ratings Technology Team is actively searching for an AVP - Mgr. Software Engineering who possesses profound knowledge in constructing robust, scalable, and high-performance web applications primarily using Angular, .NET, and other Microsoft Technologies. The successful candidate for this position will be tasked with developing innovative solutions, as well as contributing to the upkeep and improvement of our existing systems.

This role is based in Charlotte, NC and will require in-person interviews.

Qualifications:

  • Must have 10+ years of hands-on software development experience
  • Must have expertise in Angular, .NET, and Microsoft Technologies.
  • Must have current experience managing and leading teams.
  • Familiarity with architecture styles/APIs (REST, RPC).
  • Experience implementing web-enabled applications in ASP.NET Core, C#, HTML5, JavaScript, TypeScript, JSON, REST, CSS, SQL.
  • Experience with cloud platforms like AWS and Azure is preferred.
  • Familiarity with SQL Server and design/architectural patterns (e.g., Model-View-Controller (MVC)) is preferred.
  • Understanding of Ratings and Structured Finance is preferred.

Education:

  • BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain software applications using Angular, ASP.NET Core and other Microsoft Technologies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement new features.
  • Participate in all phases of the development lifecycle, from concept to deployment.
  • Actively participate in code reviews to ensure that the code adheres to quality standards and fulfils the necessary functional specifications.
  • Troubleshoot, optimize, and upgrade existing systems as necessary.
  • Document development phases and monitor systems to ensure they meet both user needs and business goals.
  • Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends.

For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is [[$140,200.00 - [[$203,350.00, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation. Moody's also offers a competitive benefits package, including not but limited to medical, dental, vision, parental leave, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, life, disability, and accident insurance, a discounted employee stock purchase plan, and tuition reimbursement.
