The Chef de Cuisine will lead the Culinary team of our upscale 3-meal restaurant- Grand Met, which also produces delectable dishes for the Lounge and In Room Dining.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop and implement creative menu items within the restaurant concept
  • Assume the role of liaison between all dining room operations and culinary teams
  • Supervise the preparation and cooking of various food items
  • Ensure proper safety and sanitation of all kitchen facilities and equipment
  • Manage culinary colleagues through scheduling, payroll, training, coaching, evaluating and hiring
  • Manage other key culinary leadership rolls including Assistant Sous Chefs and Supervisors
  • Lead, inspire and coach the team towards achieving exceptional guest service and colleague satisfaction results
  • Monitor food production, ordering, cost, and quality and consistency on a daily basis

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
  • Maintain a high level of responsibility and attention to detail
  • Ability to adapt under pressure
  • Minimum 2+ years Culinary leadership
  • Culinary degree or related culinary hotel experience
  • Requires very little supervision and training
  • Must have physical stamina to lift, push, and pull moderate amounts of weight
  • Must be able to stand for entire shift
  • In-depth skills and knowledge of all kitchen operations with ability to perform all advanced cooking skills
  • Possess strong leadership, communication, organization and relationship skills
  • Proficient in general computer knowledge
  • A true desire to exceed guest expectations in a fast-paced customer service environment
  • Capable of producing a consistent product in a timely manner
  • Flexible schedule to include weekends and holidays as well as AM, Mid and PM shifts
