Construction Coodinator/Designer I
Hybrid in Waltham, MA
6-month contract-to-hire
$20-30/hour
Job Overview
The Coordinator I will use Building Information Modeling (BIM), such as CAD and Revit, to convert contract documents into 3D constructible files/documents for use in fabrication and field installation.
The Coordinator I is an entry-level position that offers opportunities for career growth and development in the field of Building Information Modeling (BIM). They will learn the fundamentals of BIM modeling software, preparation and distribution of BIM deliverables such as drawings, schedules, and reports, as well as participate in Coordination meetings and job site visits.
Job Responsibilities

• Develop an understanding of trade systems.
• Learns to produce various Field and Fabrication installation drawings and documentation by properly annotating, and dimensioning.
• Assist with producing various deliverables.

• Provide support to all coordination team members as needed.
• Assist with generating and completing as-builts.
• Learn to detail coordinated models such as Hanger and Support placement.
• Learn to create 3D equipment models.
• Enhance upon BIM skillset.
• Supports Field Personnel with delivery of installation drawings.
• Learn to navigate a project site.

• 0+ Years experience
• Education: Associate degree or equivalent
  • HVAC HD - Sheet Metal LU17 Apprentice
• Knowledge of Revit, CADMEP, Navisworks, & Microsoft Suite

• Intro to HVAC systems & codes.

• Intro to Plumbing systems & codes (Plumbing State Code 248CMR NFPA 54, NFPA 58, NFPA 99, Sovent Code)
