Overview

NFP is seeking an Employee Communications Consultant. Come grow with us - while working from home or hybrid!

The Employee Communications Consultant drives impactful multi-channel campaigns (print and digital) that seamlessly integrate with internal HR teams to engage employees. Focusing on employee benefits and total rewards, you’ll manage the full campaign lifecycle - planning, designing, producing, launching and reporting. With a growth mindset, you’ll continuously seek opportunities for learning and improvement, while adapting to client needs across your market segment. You will collaborate closely with the Senior Vice President of Employee Communications and your teammates to ensure the success of the practice.

You are accountable for these key areas:

  • Develop comprehensive multi-channel employee communications campaigns that enhance the employer’s brand and increase employee benefits literacy.
  • Collaborate with the Accounts team and Employee Communications Practice teammates to deliver strategic, impactful campaigns to clients.
  • Project manage the Employee Communications Practice process effectively across dozens of projects and clients and varying timelines throughout the year with an emphasis on typical Open Enrollment season (Q4).
  • Report on the effectiveness of employee communications campaigns for clients and provide strategic recommendations for optimization and continued work.

Responsibilities

Develop comprehensive multi-channel employee communications campaigns that enhance the employer’s brand and increase employee benefits literacy:

  • Create or maintain employer brands to strengthen internal communications and improve employee understanding of benefits offerings.
  • Leverage NFP’s LASSO® model to develop measurable multi-channel employee communication campaigns, focusing on clear, accessible benefits information.
  • Design, layout, and produce print, video and digital communication materials with a strong emphasis on improving the end user experience and benefits literacy.

Collaborate with the Accounts team and Employee Communications Practice teammates to deliver strategic, impactful campaigns to clients:

  • Act as a subject matter expert in Employee Communications, partnering closely with the Accounts team to provide tailored solutions for NFP clients.
  • Work cross-functionally with key stakeholders to design and implement highly effective employee communication campaigns that drive results.

Project manage NFP Employee Communications Practice work effectively across dozens of clients and varying timelines:

  • All work completed is accomplished efficiently as you steward available resources.
  • Continue building the extensive library of resources for our internal teams and clients.
  • Organize and archive resources for easy access and reference for all team members.

Report on the effectiveness of employee communications campaigns for clients and provide strategic recommendations for optimization and continued work:

  • Report on key performance indicators as part of NFP LASSO® model.
  • Proactively offer strategic direction based on data interpretation and recommend next steps based on reporting.

Goals and Measures of Success

  • Client work is completed with a high level of accuracy, professionalism and attention to Once fully proficient in the role, minimal revisions should be needed by teammates in the Employee Communications Practice.
  • Clients, Account team and teammates are confident in the Employee Communications Strategist’s expertise and knowledge of assigned areas.
  • Client work receives positive remarks in annual client survey.
  • Client work is delivered on time or ahead of deadlines.
  • Employee Communications practice is meeting revenue and service goals because of your cohesive involvement and work.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, graphic design or a related major. (required)
  • Two to four years professional marketing, communications and/or graphic design (required)
  • Demonstrated experience in project management, including managing timelines, resources, and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality communications projects on time and within budget. (required)
  • Moderate knowledge of a variety of technical programs and software - including Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office and content management systems (ie: Wordpress). (required)

The base salary range for this position is $41,000 to $62,000. The base salary offered will be determined by factors including, but not limited to, experience, credentials, education, certifications, skill level required for the position, the scope of the position, and geographic location.
