Yamaha has an excellent opportunity for a Failure Analysis Tech II to join our Marine team in Kennesaw, GA. The purpose of this position is to analyze the root cause of Marine warranty failures and identify trends.
What you'll be doing:
- Assist in defining process of evaluating failure samples returned to YMUS for root cause analysis.
- Track failure analysis of recalled sample parts for all Marine products.
- Create monthly reports of sample evaluation findings to Technical Support Manager.
- Manage identification of potential rebuild cores and scrapping of the other cores.
- Assist Technical Support Manager with development of a remanufacturing project.
- Assist with various off-site projects as needed.
- Own 5s audits of the Kennesaw marine service shop condition.
- Set up and Predelivery and deliver employee purchased product.
What you need to be successful:
- High School Diploma / GED or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.
- At least 2-3 years mechanical experience required.
- Proficient in MS Office (i.e., Windows OS, Word, Excel and PowerPoint & Outlook).
- Experience in the Marine or Powersports industry is required.
- Experience working in a Marine or Powersports dealership within parts and/or service or in another capacity is desired.
- Self-motivated, able to be productive when unsupervised.
- Team player willing to work well with others
