CareFirsts Strategy & Growth division is accepting internship applications for our Summer 2025 program, spanning the companys venture capital, management consulting, marketing and communications, and strategic marketing functions.

Job Description:

This internship is designed to be an 11-week full-time opportunity beginning June 2025 and concluding August 2025. The program is ideal for rising senior undergraduates seeking experience and exposure to diverse careers in healthcare. Youll work specifically with our Healthworx Team which is responsible for the investment and innovation efforts of CareFirst across our affiliated venture studio, startup accelerator, and venture capital programs.

Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive market research and analysis to identify emerging trends and potential companies for investment.
Assist in the evaluation of potential investment opportunities through data collection, financial modeling, and due diligence.
Prepare detailed reports and presentations on research findings to support investment decisions.
Collaborate with the Healthworx Ventures team to develop strategic plans and recommendations for potential investments.

Education Level:

Undergraduate Track: Sophomore or Junior pursuing a degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Marketing, Communications, Healthcare Administration, or a related field with a cumulative GPA of 3.5 GPA.

Required Abilities/Skills:

Independent thinker and self-starter who can also work as part of a team
Project management experience or education preferred
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to positively interface with and establish and maintain effective working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
Strategic and creative decision maker who can motivate self without constant supervision
Attention to detail and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills including assisting with presentations and proposals.
Excellent organizational skills and ability to set priorities.
Demonstrated skills with various computer applications/software, particularly those related to database management and the development of presentations.

Salary Range Disclaimer

The hire range posted is an annual rate. All intern positions will be paid hourly.
