Who will you be working with?
The Information Technology Business Operations team’s vision is to establish how Wabtec IT effectively executes and sustains the business strategy. Our team defines and implements strategic processes and solutions for the Enterprise Information Technology organization to deliver maximum business value.
How will you make a difference?
As a member of the IT Finance Management (ITFM) organization, you will be a part of a team that establishes ITFM best practices at Wabtec Information Technology team. As an IT Finance leader, you will be responsible for IT financial planning, budgeting and cost optimization efforts within the IT organization. This role will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing established ITFM processes including but not limited to cost optimization, value realization and financial reporting. In addition, this role will support the efforts to establish and operationalize new initiatives from the ITFM roadmap. This role will report directly to the Director, Strategic IT Finance in the Office of the CIO (OCIO).
What do we want to know about you?
- Bachelor’s degree in the field of finance, accounting or related field
- Master’s degree in finance, accounting, or business administration (MBA) highly desirable
- At least 5-7 years of experience in finance or a related field, with a focus on budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- At least 5-7 years’ experience in IT Finance or working within an IT department is highly desirable.
- Technology Business Management (TBM) certification and/or familiarity with the TBM concept and methodology preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite including PowerPoint, Outlook, Word and high proficiency in Excel required.
- Experience with corporate systems e.g. SAP, Oracle, Service Now, Power BI and other corporate financial systems preferred.
- Experience with IT Financial Management tools such as Apptio is highly desirable.
- Ability to successfully navigate through ambiguity and prioritize conflicting requirements.
- Experience working in a global organization and working with business partners at all organizational levels.
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills (both written and verbal)
- Ability to be strategic, accountable, collaborative, proactive, and curious with complementing strong tactical execution skills.
What will your typical day look like?
- Lead the OCIO annual IT budget and monthly forecast processes, ensuring alignment with corporate financial goals.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports for IT leadership and corporate finance.
- Ongoing collection and validation of Wabtec Adaptive Strategy IT inputs including depreciation, value realization and forecast.
- Creation and optimization of new and existing financial models and processes including, but not limited to cost optimization, benchmarking and metrics.
- Be part of the development of a communication and training plan to promote awareness and understanding of ITFM processes and standards.
- Establish process documentation and drive compliance of ITFM guidelines and practices to ensure effective, efficient, high-quality delivery that consistently meets or exceeds the expectations of the business.

Our job titles may span more than one career level. The salary range for this role is between
$102,500.00-$146,000.00The actual salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, education, business needs, market demands and work location. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. More information on offered benefits, which include health, welfare, and retirement, are available at mywabtecbenefits.com. Other benefit offerings for this role may include an annual bonus, if eligible.
