Full Job Description

    The SAP Platform Architect will set architectural standards and create technical alignment for specific component, application, or product within a solution.

    What will you do?

    Solution Architecture

    • Work with Solution Architects to design system architecture aligned to solution and enterprise architecture standards.

    • Design interactions between specific components within a solution.

    • Define subsystems and interfaces, allocate responsibilities, and communicate interaction requirements.

    • Provide technical insight, in partnership with Solution Architect, to Application Delivery teams to ensure that architectural standards are applied to solution build.

    • Provide delivery teams with the conceptual designs for new applications or products within a solution.

    • Consult with domain architects on domain specific standards (e.g., Security, Data, Network, Platform), as needed.

    • Provide input to Solution Architects to help create solution roadmaps and plans.

    • Set and enforce standards as part of the application roadmap development.

    • Execute the solution development phases based on enterprise architecture impacts and development priorities set by the Enterprise Architect

    • Keep support needs in mind when designing system architecture.

    • Develop Architectural Runway in support of new business features and capabilities.

    • Coordinate across Business, IT, and delivery team to develop and maintain reference architecture.

    • Analyze technical architectural impacts and provide potential trade-offs

    Solution Design

    • Participate in planning, definition, and high-level design of the solution.

    • Develop Architectural Runway in support of new business features and capabilities.

    • Coordinate across Business, IT, and delivery team to develop and maintain reference architecture.

    • Leverage Economic Framework to analyze technical architectural impacts and provide potential trade-offs.

    • Define subsystems and interfaces, allocate responsibilities, and communicate interaction requirements.

    • Identify and design technological infrastructures that will host the new business functionality.

    • Consult with Enterprise Architect, Infrastructure Architects, Security Architects, and suppliers to integrate their needs and concerns into the solution architecture

      Technical Requirements Definition, Capacity Planning, Technical Delivery, Project Planning & Management

      • Define and maintain Non-Functional Requirements to verify the solution meets system quality standard.

      • Collaborate with Product Manager to determine capacity allocation and job sizing for enablement work.

      • Steers work necessary to support efficient development and delivery of future business requirements.

      • Work with Product and Solution Management to determine the capacity allocation for enablement work.

      • Communicate the solution context and intent, and work with Agile teams to implement Agile Release Train (ART) and Solution Train Enablers and align technology approaches across ARTs.

      • Participate in Solution Demo, PI Planning, Architecture Sync, Inspect and Adapt Events

      • Manage the working relationship with delivery team and suppliers (e.g., SAP, Salesforce)

      • Create environment refresh strategy.

      • Provide oversight and foster Built-In Quality and Team and Technical Agility

      • Run architecture review board.

      • Oversee the deployment and ensure delivery team and supplier provides support during Go-Live.

      • Conduct code reviews and review the release manifest

      • SAP specifics

        • Principal SAP BASIS, BTP, BODS Leader will provide administration and technical core competencies for tasks including installations and upgrades, problem determination and resolution, software patching, support package application, performance tuning, and project sizing. Functions as Technical Lead on projects; may lead multiple concurrent projects.

        • Responsible for the design and implementation of the Portal landscape upgrades and patches

        • Oversee and managed team Performing day-to-day administration of SAP HANA systems and associated components, ensuring optimal performance, stability, and security

        • Collaborate with architects and senior engineers to design and implement robust platform architectures that meet the organization's performance, scalability, and security requirements.

        • Review and integrate technical architecture requirements

      What do you need for this role?

      • Bachelor's in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business or related field.

      • Experience in SAP solution/integration design and implementation.

      • Proven track record of successful SAP integration projects.

      • Experience with SAP S/4HANA, SAP BTP and other SAP modules.

      • Experience with SAP middleware and integration tools such as SAP Cloud

      • Platform Integration.

      • Proficient in English.

      • Strong understanding of SAP architecture and best practices.

      • Proficiency in designing and developing SAP interfaces and data migration strategies.

      • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

      • Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

      • Ability to work effectively in a hybrid and remote work environment.

      • Up-to-date knowledge of the latest SAP technologies and trends.

      • Deep knowledge about SQL and ABAP

      • SAFE Agile project management

      Nice-to-Have Requirements/Skills:

      • Portuguese language

      • Ideally, proven knowledge of On-Premises solutions and their corresponding cloud solutions.

      • Professional Training & Certification (e.g., SAP Enterprise Architecture Framework featured by LeanIX EAM, SAP Certified Professional-Enterprise Architect, TOGAF) as a plus.
