Legend Biotech is seeking a Lead, Corporate System as part of the IT team based in Somerset, NJ.

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive IT Lead - Corporate Systems is responsible for defining, implementing, and managing IT solutions that support finance, corporate compliance, Legal and HR functions. This role will work closely with business leaders to align IT strategies with organizational objectives, ensuring efficient and effective technology enablement of financial and corporate processes.

The role will act as a strategic IT partner while also overseeing solution delivery, project execution, and regulatory compliance. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing business expectations, delivering IT capabilities, and ensuring business value realization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary IT contact for finance, compliance, legal and HR business functions, managing relationships and expectations.
  • Develop and execute IT strategies, roadmaps, and portfolios that align with business priorities.
  • Proactively understand business needs, provide input into business strategies, and identify technology opportunities.
  • Build business cases for IT projects, including cost-benefit analysis, ROI assessment, and risk evaluation.
  • Lead the implementation, enhancement, and management of IT solutions supporting finance, corporate compliance, and HR, including SAP, Concur, TM1, Compliance Wire, and other enterprise platforms.
  • Oversee IT project delivery, ensuring adherence to architecture standards, SDLC methodologies, and regulatory requirements (e.g., SOX, Sunshine Act).
  • Ensure solutions meet functional, performance, and value expectations while enabling business process efficiency.
  • Stay updated with emerging technologies and recommend advancements that improve efficiency and business outcomes.
  • Manage relationships with internal stakeholders and external technology vendors to ensure cost-effective and high-quality service delivery.
  • Negotiate contracts and service agreements with technology providers.
  • Ensure IT systems supporting finance and corporate compliance meet regulatory and security standards.
  • Maintain oversight of financial and compliance-related system controls, ensuring adherence to SOX, Sunshine Act, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Develop policies, procedures, and best practices to optimize IT governance and system management.
  • Lead a matrixed team of IT professionals, consultants, and vendors to execute projects and deliver business value.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Communication, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Over 10 years of IT experience, ideally within the pharmaceutical, biotech, or life sciences sector.
  • Proven track record in IT business partnering and solution delivery with portfolio management experience.
  • Deep understanding of finance, compliance, and HR processes including Financial Accounting, Controlling, Order-to-Cash, Internal Audit, and Transparency Reporting.
  • Understanding of systems like SAP, Concur, TM1, Compliance Wire, and HRIS.
  • Knowledge of IT system development, implementation strategies, and compliance frameworks.
  • Capacity to translate strategic vision into practical projects and technology roadmaps.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
  • Experience in leading matrixed teams for project delivery.
  • Superior communication and teamwork in dynamic environments.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills for engaging diverse audiences.
  • Exceptional organizational abilities to juggle multiple priorities.
  • Proficient in tools like MS Teams, SharePoint, and project management software (e.g., Jira, Smartsheet).
  • Advanced skills in PowerPoint and Excel for strategic presentations and data management.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative approach.
  • Aptitude for aligning IT efforts with business priorities.
