Job Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire
Location: Hybrid with various sites within state of MD (Glen Burnie HQ)
Compensation: $145,000/yr

Network Engineer
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and support LAN, WLAN, and WAN network infrastructure
- Serve as technical escalation point
- Create and maintain technical and process documentation
- Troubleshoot infrastructure related hardware or network connectivity issues
- Perform testing and validation of new hardware and code
- Create maintenance plans and documentation as part of change control to implement network changes in LAN, WLAN, and WAN infrastructure
- Conduct site surveys for future wired and wireless network installation
- Provide consultation support to internal and external partners for network infrastructure design and enhancements
- Prepare network hardware and configurations
- Install new equipment as part of a new deployment, break/fix, or equipment refreshes
- Troubleshoot and resolve network related trouble tickets
- Coordinate with both internal and external partners as part of overall project delivery efforts
- Provide written status updates to project management for assigned
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering related field
- 9 years of experience in a computer related field OR Equivalent Experience
- JNCIA or CCNA
- Experience in production network environments
- Experience in the configuration and deployment of Cisco, Juniper, and Aruba switches, routers, and wireless access points
- Previous experience with troubleshooting and configuration of network protocols such as BGP, OSPF, TCP/IP, and Spanning Tree
- Experience with network monitoring and diagnostic tools
- Experience with the creation and maintenance of documentation such as operating procedures and network diagrams
- Strong customer service skills
- Strong technical troubleshooting skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong time, priority, and task management skills
- Ability to manage multiple assigned tasks concurrently with minimal supervision
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- ITIL 4 Foundation
- Python and Ansible experience
- Previous experience with Metro Ethernet networks and infrastructure
- Familiarity with enterprise and user networks
