Comcast Spectacor oversees the Wells Fargo Center and its major transformation project, the Philadelphia Flyers, the Philadelphia Wings lacrosse team, the Maine Mariners hockey team, the Flyers Training Center, the Seoul Infernos OWL team, and Spectacor Events and Entertainment, a growing live events business that has already brought successful, new events to the Philadelphia area. Comcast Spectacor is headquartered at the Wells Fargo Center (WFC) in Philadelphia, PA. The WFC, the 4th most highly attended arena nationally and 7th most attended in the world is home to 270+ events per year, including the Philadelphia Flyers, Philadelphia 76ers, Philadelphia Wings, Villanova, concerts, and events. Comcast Spectacor is a wholly owned subsidiary of Comcast and maintains connected and disconnected networks within the Wells Fargo Center.

Job Summary

The Philadelphia Flyers and Wells Fargo Center are seeking a Producer, Social Media to support the Digital Content and Marketing division of the organization, with a primary focus on creating engaging content for various social media channels. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Digital Content, Senior Director of Digital and Creative Content, and Senior Vice President of Marketing; the Producer role will be assigned to assist with the implementation of new content and ideas.

Job Description

Core Responsibilities

  • Develop and create highly engaging and compelling photo and video content for the suite of Philadelphia Flyers digital platforms, including but not limited to Instagram, YouTube, Snapchat, TikTok, Twitter, Reddit, Facebook, paid media, and any new platforms that may emerge.
  • Contribute innovative and creative ideas for digital and social content that establishes and maintains the Philadelphia Flyers as industry leaders.
  • Edit all photo and video content for upload-ready audience engagement.
  • Help to strategize and coordinate photo and video shoots and set-ups, including logistics, lighting, set and locations, etc.
  • Travel to various events, which includes (but is not limited to) road games, NHL events, community appearances and more.
  • Assist with league and club digital and social activations and initiatives.
  • Demonstrates clear expertise and in-depth working knowledge of all areas of the function.
  • Mentors and trains junior members of the staff.
  • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
