Summary
The Program Manager directly assists program management in developing, planning, and leading the execution of projects in the areas of customer relationships, transformation, and the integration of growth strategies. Leads a team to manage a wide variety of complex technical, financial, or program management activities impacting multiple organizations and business support opportunities for the Nuclear Security Enterprise (NSE).
Duties and Responsibilities
- Partner and collaborate across stakeholders to develop and implement long-term strategies for the NSE that position Honeywell Federal Manufacturing and Technologies to be most efficient and agile.
- Lead the technical, operational, and evaluative efforts for programs and objectives to determine compatibility with the Ten-Year Site Plan and Technology Plan, and the National Nuclear Security Administration's (NNSA) Production and Planning directive.
- Develop and lead the infusion of commercial-best business practices across the entire NSE in manufacturing, operations, and support.
- Work cross functionally to formulate and implement strategies necessary to meet a broad range of plant-wide technical or operational objectives.
- Act as a member of technical advisory committees and represent management, as well as act as a subject matter expert to provide technical direction and coaching.
- Facilitate and prepare feasibility studies, including cost, scope, schedule, and risk for advanced weapon system concepts; provide technical analysis and input regarding special studies as requested by the customer. Serve as liaison between our current and future customers and KCNSC management by representing KCNSC and providing a conduit for feedback, communication, and on-going interaction.
- Manage and coach a team of direct report employees.
You Must Have
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, scientific, or business-related field and a minimum of 7 years of experience in managing projects and/or programs in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related activities.
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
- Ability to work remote, hybrid, or on-site as directed by management and is determined by the needs of the business
- Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this job
- United States Citizenship
- Ability to obtain and maintain, a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance (some positions require additional DOE designations)
We Value
- Prior management experience is a Plus
- Previous P6 Primavera or Project Management experience is a Plus.
- Project management scheduling experience
- Experience in development and technical understanding of production of weapon systems and components.
- Successful history of working with the NNSA and its NSE laboratories and production facilities beneficial.
- Proven ability in decision making, problem solving, and influencing others.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret information, articulate observations, and recommendations, and implement business system improvements for technical and programmatic impact.
- Ability to reliably operate in a complex and changing environment demonstrating solid independent judgment.
- Professional designation in project management, e.g., Project Management Professional (PMP).
