The Senior Legal Counsel, Head of Strategic & Digital Partnerships is a leadership role within The Coca-Cola Company’s Legal function and global strategic partnership team. This role is responsible for managing all legal support for the Global Procurement Function and dedicating at least 50% of the time to advancing the company’s strategic digital transformation initiatives.

What You’ll Do for Us:

Lead and coordinate all legal matters for global technology transactions and strategic initiatives of The Coca-Cola Company’s Global Procurement Function.
Provide leadership, Commercial contacting support, and subject matter expertise for the Company’s digital transformation plan.
Serve as lead counsel to the Operating Committee of CEPG, as a participant on the Global Supply Chain Network and as the Global Strategic Partnerships representative on the Global Legal Function’s digital strategy.
Develop and deliver key business objectives and execute strategic priorities of Global Procurement, while establishing a strong relationship with The Coca-Cola Company’s President of Platform Services, Chief Procurement Officer, Chief Information Officer, and the Chairperson of CEPG.
Senior legal lead on the Global Strategic Partnerships leadership team and demonstrate a collaborative spirit and a ‘can do’ attitude with a demonstrated willingness to support projects and strategic initiatives in other categories as needed.
Develop and scale efficiencies and new ways of working across multiple projects and environments.
Demonstrate executive presence, a high degree of responsiveness, and an inclusive and communicative leadership style.

Serve as active member of the Chief Procurement Officer’s leadership team helping to drive savings and maintain supply chain continuity through healthy supply relationships.
Maintain an ongoing understanding of trends in direct and indirect procurement, and technology, to be able to evaluate risk and think and act strategically in support of the business.
Draft, review and negotiate Master Agreements and related documents with suppliers across all procurement and IT categories.
Continuously improve template agreements and related documentation to optimize efficiency and drive standardization, and develop new templates, guidance and training documentation as appropriate.

Collaborative Partnerships:

Work directly with the Chief Procurement Officer and his team to provide strategic advice and legal support for negotiations with existing and new suppliers
Efficiently and effectively source goods an services across various categories, including IT, technology transactions, General & Administrative procurement, equipment, logistics, agricultural commodities, and the Cross Enterprise Procurement Group (CEPG)
Establish and maintain positive relationships with cross-functional teams, including Finance, IP, Privacy, Data Security, and Corporate Audit, as well as within the Global Supply Chain Network and Legal Function’s digital strategy team.

Team Leadership:

Manage and lead a team of two legal professionals, balancing multiple urgent priorities effectively and managing a high level of confidence among senior stakeholders.

Qualifications & Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree.
Juris Doctorate Degree.
Licensed to practice law and in good standing.
15+ years of experience handling complex commercial negotiations with at least 5 years handling technology contracting matters, including enterprise software licensing, managed services, SaaS, hardware, cloud, hosting, outsourcing, and related agreements (including the ability to identify issues attendant to technology contracting, such as AI and transactional data privacy issues) as part of an IP transactional or technology transactions practice at a law firm and/or in a busy in-house environment.
Ability to analyze and articulate complex issues for a non-legal audience and provide business-practical legal advice where possible.
Ability to manage and pivot among multiple urgent projects and priorities.
