Our financial services client is looking for a Senior Product Designer to create innovative digital products that will impact millions of customers and drive the success of their digital-first strategy. The Senior Product Designer should have expertise in product design, systems design, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Location: This role is hybrid. The candidate should be located within a commutable distance to one of the offices in NYC, Baltimore, MD, Charlotte, NC, Wilmington, DE, or Irving, TX.
Senior Product Designer Responsibilities:
- Lead the creation of innovative digital products for web and mobile platforms through a holistic problem-solving approach.
- Transform complex workflows and information into intuitive user experiences in conjunction with design, engineering, and product teams.
- Utilize data-driven insights to inform solutions and map out user journeys.
- Facilitate discussions, develop concepts, lead design sprints, and build rapid prototypes.
- Present design vision and strategy through sketches, storyboards, high-fidelity mock-ups, and prototypes.
- Communicate design rationale, logic, and research to support well-informed decisions.
- Mentor and guide fellow designers, fostering a culture of excellence.
- Engage in peer design critiques, providing and receiving constructive feedback.
- Navigate product relationships and build strong cross-functional relationships.
Senior Product Designer Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Product Design or related fields; experience working collaboratively with product, engineering, design, content, and user research teams.
- Experience with Figma, Miro, FigJam, Accessibility tools, and other relevant domain software.
- Strong portfolio showcasing a range of projects demonstrating design process, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong systems thinker with experience defining patterns, style guides, performing user testing, and building low and high-fidelity prototypes.
- Solid understanding of software development and collaboration with developers.
- Exceptional time management and organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication skills and ability to influence stakeholders across the organization.
- Ability to self-initiate and thrive in an ambiguous, fast-changing environment.
- Experience working in smaller, geographically distributed teams.
- Some research experience, including A/B testing and traditional research methods strongly preferred.
