Responsibilities

Position Summary:

Responsibilities: Essential Duties

  • The CoC (Center of Competency) Head will be responsible to execute a portfolio of R&D projects that create and sustain quality infusion systems and digital applications for the global AIS product portfolio, including pharmaceutical compounding systems.
  • Oversee resources and competencies required to successfully execute technical projects which include mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, embedded software development, digital applications development, technical writing, test laboratories and the application of global cyber-security requirements.
  • Manage Technical requirements and risks both to customer needs as well as compliance with applicable industry standards.
  • Build and lead the CoC team; develop the team's skills for the efficient implementation of both product and technology strategy.
  • Plan and execute a portfolio of development projects and lifecycle activities.
  • Align with CoE (Center of Excellence) AIS management and governance boards for project prioritization.
  • Continuously track and assure project goals i.e. compliance with committed product features, time to market, quality goals and cost/budget targets.
  • Work with production and after-sales support to transfer product design into downstream processes.
  • Plan CoC functional and project budgets; ensure budget adherence.
  • Plan, implement, and maintain office and laboratory infrastructure.
  • Represent the CoC in the CoE leadership team and in the project governance boards.

  • Requires breadth of professional field and industry knowledge. Ability to integrate critical information and champion advanced strategies/concepts through the organization. Drives development of advanced technologies, principles and processes.

  • Directs the activities of a broad functional area through division heads who are responsible for planning, budgeting, costs, methods and employees. Determines actual organizational structure and allocation of resources.

  • Judgement is required in resolving complex problems based on experience.
  • Represents the organization as a prime contact on projects and departmental operations. Interacts with senior internal and external personnel on issues often requiring coordination across organizational lines.

$181,176 - $258,823

Qualifications

Expertise: Qualifications -Education/Experience/Training/Etc

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred.
  • 10-15 years related experience, plus a minimum of 5 years management experience required.

  • Applicable industry/professional certification preferred.
  • Occasional business travel required, Valid driver's license and passport, Ability to work non-standard schedule as needed.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
