Job Summary
Collaborate and serve as the IT storyteller and voice of Customer-1, NetApp's team of IT early adopters, to ensure all IT use cases are engaging, compelling and demonstrate business results
* Lead NetApp on NetApp team efforts in partnering with NetApp IT subject matter experts (SMEs) to translate abstract technical solutions into meaningful documented use cases following established content creation guidelines
* Lead creation of narratives that would be captivating to a range of IT decision makers, from the technical to executive level
* Ghostwrite/create/edit as many as 50 IT content pieces annually:
o Own creation of blog posts/eBooks and manage editorial calendar
o Manage content and speaker logistics for Partner webinars
o Contribute to creation of presentations, infographics, and videos per content schedule
Job Requirements
* Strong collaborative team player
* 5+ years of experience in technical writing.
* Journalism and storytelling experience required, program and content management a plus.
* Ability to distill nuanced technical concepts into compelling, authentic narratives that showcase business results
* Familiar with Adobe InDesign or similar content layout program
* Conversant in current IT technologies/trends (DevOps/Hybrid Cloud/IT-as-a-service/etc).
* Familiar with NetApp technologies a plus
* Experience with WordPress a plus
Role will need to overlap Pacific Time zone hours (4-hour overlap)
Education
5 years of related experience.
Compensation:
The target salary range for this position is 112,200 - 166,980 USD. The salary offered will be determined by the candidate's location, qualifications, experience, and education and may be outside of this range. Final compensation packages are competitive and in line with industry standards, reflecting a variety of factors, and include a comprehensive benefits package. This may cover Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Retirement or Pension Plans, Paid Time Off (PTO), various Leave options, Performance-Based Incentives, employee stock purchase plan, and/or restricted stocks (RSU's), with all offerings subject to regional variations and governed by local laws, regulations, and company policies. Benefits may vary by country and region, and further details will be provided as part of the recruitment process.
