FactSet's utility research team is a group of motivated and analytical professionals who aim to uncover solutions to the most complex questions in the energy industry. Our business is to deliver essential, timely analysis of fundamental information to our client base, including institutional investors, securities analysts, bankers, utility companies, regulators, midstream companies, and end users through insightful products and customized analytics. We create innovative solutions and provide analysis relevant to the current and future market. As a Utility Analyst, you will:
- Cover the regulatory and financial dynamics of the North American utility sector.
- Develop extensive expertise on energy fundamentals and regulatory nuances of your assigned region.
- Review and analyze regulatory filings to assist our customers in understanding evolving regulatory risks and activity.
- Capture key metrics on utility rate filings to maintain our comprehensive rate case database.
- Contribute to longform research reports.
- Publish periodic Insight pieces.
- Monitor Federal and state policy changes that might impact utility planning or economics.
- Assist with expanding our coverage globally.
Minimum Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience working with the energy industry and regulation.
- Experience with writing and report preparation.
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

- Strong attention to detail, initiative, and ability to manage tasks effectively.
- Excellent customer service skills, a client-centric approach, and willingness to learn about the application of our data and analysis.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Policy/Political Science, International Relations, Economics, or a quantitative and/or related field of study.

The budgeted amount for this position in the state of Colorado is $65,000 - $90,000.
