Responsible to work with business unit data teams to understand data quality requirements, build, test and execute effective data quality rules. Other responsibilities include technical data management across a platform, system or application supporting a business critical process. This includes overseeing critical data elements (CDEs) within their assigned applications, technology, tools and platforms while executing the policies, standards, and best practices in alignment with data management and governance. Responsible for technical onboarding of CDEs and technical metadata, execution of appropriate CDE Data Quality rules, and data management controls. Further accounting for harvesting and technically populating the Business Glossary systems and supporting and resolving Data Quality issues as part of the application, system or platform where it resides.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary responsibilities:
Data Quality:
a. Technically implement Data Quality rules and standards for CDEs.
b. Collaborate and coordinate with Data Quality Lead and team, Data Quality Issues Management Group, and Data Domain Working Group to align Data Quality rules and standards for corresponding Business Unit or Corporate Group with enterprise-level Data Quality rules and standards – collaborate with Data Quality COE Lead and team, Data Quality Issues Management Group and Data Domain Working Group.
c. Operational oversight of Data Quality rule execution.
d. Technically track data issues and risks, and develop associated mitigation strategies for corresponding Business Unit or Corporate Group.
e. Participate in Data Quality Issue Management Group and provide Corporate Group or Business Unit-specific information and collaborate with Data Quality Issue Management Group.
f. As member of Data Quality Issue Management Group and/or Data Domain Working Group, escalate Data Quality issues and considerations as necessary to the Enterprise Data Governance Council and collaborate with Enterprise Data Governance Council.
g. Assist in resolving Data Quality Issues, either as part of Business Unit / Corporate Group or as part of the Data Quality Issue Management Group or as part of the Data Domain Working Group and collaborate with Data Quality Issue Management Group; Data Domain Working Group.
Secondary responsibilities:
Business Metadata Management:
a. Technically onboard new CDEs that are specific to corresponding Business Unit or Corporate Group – collaborate with Business Data Stewards.
b. Technically implement business metadata across CDEs.
c. Technically execute CDE change requests – collaborate with Business Data Stewards.
d. Perform technical traceability mapping - collaborate with Business Data Steward.
e. Technically validate and certify trusted sources – collaborate with Business Data Stewards.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications:

1. Equivalent combination of advanced education and related experience, which could include any combination of: 3-5 years’ experience managing software engineers and systems analysts.
2. Ability to translate enterprise level strategic planning information into software and data management needs, create business plans, and turn them into effective business solutions.
3. Management level communications skills, including, strong negotiation/facilitation/presentation skills and experience negotiating with vendors for relevant products and services.
4. Knowledge of current and emerging application software products and tools
5. Project management experience to include multi-million dollar projects completed on time, within budget and delivering quality results
6. Strong analytical and architectural skills
7. Ability to manage a high volume of internal client relationships
8. Knowledge of all phases of software engineering life cycle and experience with process improvement models
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in business analytics, computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
2. Knowledge of Data and Analytics including emerging trends
3. Understanding of banking operations, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
4. Good leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
5. Project management experience and proficiency in managing budgets.
6. Familiarity with machine learning, data analytics, and artificial intelligence in financial institutions
7. Banking or financial services experience, especially in a particular niche area.
8. Experience working with Data Quality tools like Ataccama, Informatica data Quality or Collibra.
